Last Hour/Beach: Young man is murdered by his own brother in Ponta D'Água
A disagreement between brothers in the neighborhood of Ponta D'Água, in the city of Praia, ended today in tragedy, with the youngest taking the life of the oldest with a knife in the chest. Family and friends mourn the incident on social media.
This is the second case of homicide that has shaken the Ponta D'Água neighborhood in less than two weeks. On the 15th, a teenager was shot in the back, following a conflict between rival groups.
According to information collected by Santiago Magazine, the victim was identified by Valdo, a 31-year-old ex-convict and the aggressor is Denilson, 19 years old.
“They were having a disagreement since yesterday, but the provocations continued until today”, said a family member, adding that both were residents of Tira Chapéu, but that in the last few days they had been in Ponta D'Água to accompany their sick father.
In this first case, in addition to detaining the two suspects, who are already in custody, the National Police also seized the presumed murder weapon, a 7.65 caliber Walther, probably bought for 50,000 escudos on the black market.
